The museum has been accused of glorifying violence against women in its latest attraction, which invites guests to "meet Jack the Ripper" at the scene of "the most horrific" of all his murders.
The Cable Street site advertised the event in a press release, which reads: "Dare you have a selfie with him in his sitting room where he planned his horrific murders?
"Or how about a picture with Jack in Mitre Square together with the body of Catherine Eddowes?
"Are you brave enough to meet him in Mary Jane Kelly's bedroom - the scene of the most horrific of all Jack the Ripper's murders."
The add continues: "Housed in an historic Victorian house, visitors step straight into the world of Jack the Ripper and experience his crimes through the eyes of the women who were his victims. It’s educational, fun and very scary."
News of the event has caused outrage, as opponents to the museum's tactics label it "disgusting", a "disgrace" and "shameless".

The museum asks people if they are "brave enough" to meet Jack the Ripper, adding that it offers a "fully immersive experience".
Plagued by controversy since it opened, the site originally promised to celebrate the women of the East End but instead morphed into a museum that simply reduced them "to a red smudge".
The scheme, put forward by former Google diversity chief Mark Palmer-Edgecumbe, promised “the first women’s museum in the UK”.
The museum opened its doors in August and critics have slammed it for being misogynistic.
Mr Palmer-Edgecumbe said in a statement: "[The Museum] offers visitors a fully immersive experience where you can see, touch, smell and feel Jack the Ripper’s London.
"Housed in an historic Victorian house, visitors step straight into the world of Jack the Ripper and experience his crimes through the eyes of the women who were his victims for the first time.
"Our Halloween event is an extension of this idea – taking the stories of these women from the footnotes of stale pages of history books to an interactive experience that allows visitors to immerse themselves in the context of the time.
"We welcome everyone to come down and help recreate this terrifying piece of London's dark history."
